Somabay, the Red Sea destination, recently completed a successful transport advertising campaign in London, facilitated by The Communication Group plc, to further promote the destination within the UK market.
The campaign ran for a period of two weeks throughout March 2023, and was located in a number of London Underground stations around Zones 1 and 2. The campaign saw a mixture of on-platform and in-station posters spread throughout the city’s main commuter hubs, in addition to featuring on 200 London buses across Zone 1 over a longer period of time, which ensured that the campaign reached a broad audience comprised of both tourists and Londoners alike.
The advertising visuals positioned Somabay as “Egypt’s best kept secret”, featuring aspirational visuals, with the in-station posters also providing a QR code directing users to the Somabay website to encourage bookings.
The campaign was a huge success, with the Somabay website seeing an uplift in UK traffic as a result. The Communication Group plc supported on all aspects of the campaign, from negotiation through to execution.
