The Communication Group plc recently supported Geneva Tourism with hosting a sports-focused group press trip centred around the UEFA Women’s EUROs semi-final game, which was held in Geneva, positioning Geneva as a premier ‘open-air playground’ for sport and lifestyle
The highlight of the trip was a private box experience at the UEFA Women’s EUROs semi-final, where guests enjoyed catering while immersed in the vibrant atmosphere of the stadium, witnessing the Lionesses take England to the final with a memorable victory. Beyond the match, the trip celebrated Geneva’s dynamic outdoor lifestyle, with activities including paragliding overlooking the lake, rafting along the river, cycling through the surrounding vineyards, and a guided tour of the Old Town – showcasing the city’s unique blend of sport, culture, and community.
Guests stayed at the boutique Rotary Hotel Geneva – MGallery Collection, located in the heart of the city. Over the course of the trip, attendees also experienced Geneva’s exceptional culinary scene, from the brand-new Ottolenghi restaurant at the Mandarin Oriental Geneva – the first to open outside of the UK – to lakeside dining at L’Auberge d’Hermance, reached by private boat, and a countryside meal at Café de Peney.
The Communication Group plc managed all elements of the trip, from selecting and inviting media, to managing logistics and on-the-ground support. Attending media included journalists from Stylist, Glamour, Reach plc, Luxury Lifestyle Magazine, and The Standard Issue Podcast – all key targets for Geneva Tourism.
