Last week, the Drone Delivery Group [a 400-strong group of drone technology experts] published a landmark White Paper, detailing a national strategy for drone commercialisation, across land, sea and air.
‘A National Strategy for Drones Across Land, Sea and Air’ sets out a plan to accelerate growth rapidly, safely and efficiently, by harmonising standards and regulations for drone technology. Harmonised standards, the Paper argues, will help UK plc to capitalise on an industry estimated to be worth over £45billion, 650,000 jobs and 2.4million tonnes in carbon emissions reductions [to the UK alone] by 2030.
