AIPUT Submits Plans for First Project Under Pioneering Sustainability-linked Credit Facility

Plans have been submitted for AIPUT’s first major regeneration project under its new £350 million sustainability-linked credit facility, opening a new chapter in the specialist fund’s expansion and improvement of its real estate portfolio. Driven by a desire for sustainable growth, this project will meet the highest standards of operational efficiency and invest in locally sourced building materials.

Funded by its £350 million sustainability-linked credit facility with Wells Fargo Bank, AIPUT (Airport Industrial Property Unit Trust) plans to create a cornerstone single warehouse facility on the Radius Park estate, a site that hosts several of AIPUT’s long-standing customers and employs more than 200 people. This application demonstrates AIPUT’s continuing ambition for business growth projects which incorporate decarbonisation initiatives. By retaining existing infrastructure at Radius Park, including its structural steelwork and concrete slab floor as well as maximising the use of recycled materials, AIPUT’s project is set to achieve carbon neutrality.

Marking AIPUT’s inaugural renovation project since the announcement of a £350 million fund agreement with Wells Fargo, this is a seminal moment in AIPUT’s long-term plan to deliver low-carbon and high energy performing logistics warehouses whilst simultaneously seeking to become a net zero business by 2040.

The Communication Group supported AIPUT’s important announcement by preparing, selling-in and distributing a dedicated press release, securing widespread interest from the specialist fund’s key target specialist sector publications, including React News, CoStar, Property Week and Estates Gazette, among others.
