The Communication Group plc hosted a three-day group press trip to Geneva during the festive period, in collaboration with Geneva Tourism, to showcase the city’s varied Christmas offering to key media targets, and continue to establish Geneva as one of Europe’s leading Christmas market destinations.
Guests visited the city’s magical Christmas market, located on the banks of the iconic Lake Geneva, providing an opportunity to showcase one of Geneva’s most celebrated landmarks while also adding a touch of Christmas spirit to the trip. The trip also coincided with the city’s Fête de l’Escalade, giving attendees the chance to experience the annual action-filled celebration of the victory against invading French forces in 1602, incorporating colourful processions, period costumes, musket firings, and age-old traditions. In between Christmas-focused activities, the group enjoyed a wellness experience at the unique Bain-Bleu Hammam & Spa, as well as a chocolate-making class at La Bonbonnière, where guests had the chance to delve deeper into Geneva’s rich chocolate-making history.
The trip was a huge success, with attending media from Condé Nast Traveller, TTG Luxury, and Luxuriate Life. The Communication Group plc supported on all aspects of the trip, from inviting media through to hosting attendees in Geneva throughout the weekend.
