Embassy Gardens Hosts Bloomsday Festival To Celebrate Irish Culture And Heritage

Recently, Embassy Gardens, the vibrant new neighbourhood in the heart of Nine Elms, hosted a Bloomsday Festival to bring together a collective of Irish creatives and celebrate the life of Irish writer James Joyce. The event was co-hosted by Darby’s, the popular oyster bar, bakery, and grill restaurant from chef-owner Robin Gill which is based at Embassy Gardens, and celebrated the very best of Irish literature, music, and food, with over 2000 people in attendance.

Attendees were treated to a showcase of live performances across the two-day event, ranging from spoken word with Olivier Award winning actress Jessie Buckley, to music from Irish singer-songwriter Imelda May. An array of Joycean-themed dishes were also on offer, with Darby’s running a special Bloomsday menu, while official event partnerships with Jameson Irish Whiskey and Irish Beef ensured the highest quality produce and dishes were available at pop-up markets and bars across Embassy Gardens.

The Communication Group plc supported all aspects of the organisation and delivery of the event, as well as generating media coverage and attendance. Highlight coverage of the event was secured in the Evening Standard, ES Magazine, and Conde Nast Traveller as well as other top target publications and influencer social media platforms, helping drive attendance and further establish Embassy Gardens’ reputation as a hub for culture and leisure.
