Recently, Somabay, the exciting Red Sea destination, exhibited at London’s World Travel Market, the most influential global event in the travel and tourism industry. Representatives from Somabay travelled to the ExCeL London to meet with media and industry contacts across the three days, providing valuable brand exposure in the UK market.
The exhibition was a chance for Somabay to showcase its brand-new Par 3 Golf Course, while also providing the opportunity to announce the destination’s investment in additional real estate and three new hotels, following a successful year financially. On day one, The Communication Group plc coordinated an on-stand prize giveaway, where entrants could win one of seven complimentary stays at either The Cascades Golf Resort, Spa & Thalasso, The Sheraton Soma Bay Resort or Stayr, Somabay’s long-term accommodation option. This encouraged visitors to interact with the Somabay stand and learn more about the destination. Featured in the World Travel Market daily show guide, an on-stand ‘Happy Hour’ was hosted on the second day of the exhibition, drawing additional visitors to Somabay’s stand. Later on, various branded gadgets were also gifted to visitors, further elevating Somabay’s visibility at the event.
At World Travel Market, Somabay was able to showcase its latest innovations and expansions, heightening its brand awareness in the UK, while also building relationships and generating opportunities for collaboration with 17 industry and media meetings over the two days. The Communication Group plc supported Somabay in all aspects of the event, including logistical elements, arranging and accompanying meetings with media and industry, and coordinating the on-stand activations.
