This December, The Communication Group plc concluded a year-long series of inspirational guest speaker events at Riverscape, the exciting new development in East London’s Royal Docks.
‘Power Talks’ was a series of regular evening talks, designed to shine a light on local entrepreneurs, creatives, business owners and community leaders. These ‘power talkers’ took to the stage and shared insights into their career journey, the challenges they faced along the way and the tips for success which they had for the audience.
The series welcomed Ben Hession, founder of zero-waste online delivery service Loaf.ly, Rhea Patel, founder of local fitness community One Element Docklands, Roxy Allardyce, founder of Good Vibes Café in Expressway, Victoria Cozens, co-founder of East London coffee brand Perky Blenders, and Ben Breen, local fitness instructor and chiropractor. The final talk of the year was delivered by award-winning celebrity stylist, style writer and local resident Natalie Robinson, who discussed her career in the fashion industry and shared advice for any budding entrepreneurs present.
The Communication Group plc coordinated the Power Talks from conception to completion, identifying and liaising with guest speakers and managing each event through the year. The Power Talk series celebrated the diverse, thriving community of the Royal Docks, where Riverscape will complete the first of its contemporary riverside apartments next autumn. The series also engaged local residents, championing the people who choose to call Royal Docks home, highlighting the benefits of living in this exciting part of the capital and generating a real ‘buzz’ around the development’s arrival.
