London City Island officially opens and confirms partnership with The London Film School

At a star studded event, our Client EcoWorld Ballymore, declared London City Island open and officially announced that The London Film School will move to the development. The highlight of the night were two beautiful performances from English National Ballet, the grand pas de deux from Nutcracker performed by Rina Kanehara and Yonah Acota, and an excerpt from Mary Skeaping’s classic ballet Giselle, performed by Alison McWhinney and Ken Saruhashi. In addition, the audience was treated to a vocal performance of Skyfall from The Official Singer of the RFU and firm favourite of the Royal Family, Laura Wright; a nod to The London Film School’s relocation to the island. There was also a DJ set from George Lamb. Guests included Nicola Roberts, Vanessa White, Roxie Nafousi, Sarah Ann Macklin and Donna Air.

This announcement furthers the area’s creative offering and follows the announcement last year that English National Ballet and English National Ballet School will move to the island. With the first homes in the development now complete and residents moving in, the event last night officially declared the island open and marked the arrival of the first of the island’s amenities.

With coverage secured on Mail Online, The Daily Mirror, The Wharf and MSN.com.
