In the wake of the two-year anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, international human rights law firm and foundation Global Rights Compliance (GRC) has called for the international community to step up its support for Ukraine.
Speaking to US political and foreign policy newspaper, The Hill, Global Rights Compliance Founder and Managing Partner, Wayne Jordash KC said, “There’s no question that you can look at how battlefield successes corresponds to the type of weapons and the volume of weapons which have been provided by the West”.
GRC is continuing to support Ukraine’s Office of the Prosecutor General in documenting and analysing evidence of war crimes and crimes against humanity, including conflict-related sexual violence. Last year the law firm revealed 35 detention centres operated by Russian forces in Kherson where the torture of Ukrainian detainees routinely took place.
Additionally, GRC recently released Agriculture Weaponised, a report documenting pre-planned pillaging of Ukrainian grain by Russia. As the war enters its third year, GRC has emphasised that it is more crucial than ever for Ukraine’s international partners to provide assistance and ensure that there is accountability for war crimes committed by Russian forces.
