Recently, The Communication Group plc hosted 29 top tier journalist and influencers at Polo in the Park for the annual Jumeirah UK Media Day, offering an opportunity to network with key figureheads from across Jumeirah’s portfolio and share the latest news from the brand.
The day started with an intimate breakfast at The Carlton Tower Jumeirah, where a small number of top tier journalists from the UK, France and Germany enjoyed a light meal in the private dining room at Al Mare, the hotel’s modern Italian restaurant. Before breakfast was served, Alex Lee, Chief Commercial Officer shared the latest international news from across Jumeirah’s luxury portfolio, encouraging insightful conversation about the brand throughout the meal.
Following the breakfast, guests moved to The Chinoiserie Afternoon Tea Room, where they were joined by the remaining guests and were offered a selection of breakfast drinks including mimosas and breakfast mocktails. Attendees then took executive transfers to Hurlingham Park, where they were greeted in Jumeirah’s private marquee with champagne and canapés and were introduced to key GMs and figureheads from across Jumeirah’s portfolio. Guests were then seated for a three-course lunch, which was preceded by a short welcome speech by Alex Lee.
After lunch, guests enjoyed an afternoon of polo, with refreshments provided by an Al Mare ice cream trolley and a private branded bar, as well as the serving of a rolling afternoon tea from 4pm. The afternoon provided an additional opportunity for attendees to mingle with representatives from Jumeirah and The Communication Group plc to discuss the recent updates across the brand.
Publications in attendance included The Times, The Daily Telegraph, Forbes, Elite Traveler, Harper’s Bazaar and the Mail Online, to name but a few. The Communication Group plc supported on all elements of the event, from planning through to hosting on the day.
