At the 2026 Farnborough Airshow, The Communication Group plc supported Bombardier with hosting an exclusive media experience, showcasing both the engineering expertise behind the Global 8000 and the aircraft’s exceptional performance in the sky.
The programme began with an intimate Q&A with Bombardier‘s Chief Engineer, Stephen McCullough, who shared exclusive insight into the development of the Global 8000 and the innovations setting a new benchmark in business aviation. The discussion explored the aircraft’s Mach 0.95 top speed, 8,000-nautical-mile range and industry-leading passenger experience, including the lowest cabin altitude in business aviation, circadian rhythm lighting and four dedicated living spaces designed to enhance wellbeing. Guests also heard about Bombardier‘s growing defence business and how the company’s engineering expertise is being applied across both business aviation and special mission aircraft.
The experience culminated in an aerial display of the Global 8000, giving media a rare opportunity to witness the world’s fastest civilian aircraft since Concorde in flight. As one of the standout moments of the airshow, the demonstration showcased the aircraft’s remarkable speed, agility, and performance, bringing the engineering discussed during the Q&A to life and providing journalists with an unforgettable experience.
Leading international media attended the event, including Business Insider US and the BBC. The Communication Group plc managed the event from invitation through to on-site hosting, helping facilitate interviews, strengthen key media relationships, and generate high-quality international coverage for Bombardier.
