London’s newest exhibition space and membership organisation Cromwell Place, was delighted to recently host Abu Dhabi Art Fair’s London exhibition from 02-13 June 2021. The fair, under the patronage of HH Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Office, was the first art fair in the world to collaborate with the South Kensington Arts Hub, Cromwell Place.
In this first ever exhibition abroad, Abu Dhabi Art presented commissioned works created in 2020 as part of the annual programme Beyond: Emerging Artists. The three emerging artists included in this exhibition, were all from the UAE, and were supported in the development of their commissions in 2020 by curator Maya El-Khalil. Their works were shown alongside presentations of UAE-based galleries Tabari Artspace, Lawrie Shabibi, The Third Line and Isabelle Van Den Eynde across five galleries in 2, 3 and 4 Cromwell Place.
The Communication Group plc secured 39 pieces of international coverage on this collaboration including The Financial Times, The Art Newspaper, Country & Town House, Apollo Magazine, Gulf Today as well as Abu Dhabi Art World.
