AIPUT (Airport Industrial Property Unit Trust) has announced that it has completed ‘Black Arrow’ and let the high-specification warehouse to EFL Global, introducing the international freight forwarder to the UK market with its first base at Heathrow.
AIPUT’s letting marks a key milestone in its Pathway to Net Zero strategy, whilst also reflecting the strong international appetite for high-quality modern warehouse space around the UK’s largest airport. Black Arrow, which lies to the West of Heathrow Terminal 5, will be operationally net zero, utilising roof-mounted photovoltaic panels and other Low and Zero Carbon technologies. These technologies will together deliver a 30% reduction in CO₂ emissions over building regulation requirements. The state-of-the-art warehouse is also expected to receive a minimum of BREEAM ‘Excellent’ and EPC ‘A+’ ratings, furthering AIPUT’s aim to decarbonise the fund’s operations and its logistics portfolio by 2040.
The Communication Group supported AIPUT’s important announcement by preparing, selling-in and distributing a press release, securing widespread interest from the fund’s key target media, including CoStar, Property Week, South East Business Insider, Air Cargo Week, and Freight Business Journal, among others.
