The Communication Group plc has been appointed by Northern & Shell, to manage the PR for Westferry Printworks, a vibrant new waterfront neighbourhood for London just minutes from Canary Wharf.
On Monday 13th February, Northern & Shell and development manager Mace commenced demolition of Westferry Printworks in London’s Docklands. Richard Desmond, founder and owner of Northern & Shell, together with his wife Joy and son Valentine, were on site for the proceedings. Following this announcement, The Communication Group generated coverage across a number of publications including; London Evening Standard, Daily Express, CoStar UK and the East London Advertiser.
This development will be a vibrant new waterfront neighbourhood for London, just minutes from Canary Wharf. It will provide over 700 new homes, two new parks, a 1,200 space secondary school, sports facilities, an exciting mix of independent retailers, restaurants and bars, a community centre, a crèche and healthcare facilities and a cultural ‘hub’ – with a sense of neighbourhood at its heart. The homes will be available for purchase or rent, and will include affordable housing within the development. This is part of a 15 acre development of the former Westferry Printworks which closed in 2011.
