Somabay, one of Egypt’s leading lifestyle destinations, exhibited at World Travel Market 2024, the travel industry’s most influential global event. Key Somabay spokespeople travelled to London for the three-day event in November, meeting with media, influencer, and trade contacts to share the latest news from across the destination.
Following a successful 2024, World Travel Market provided an opportunity for Somabay to showcase its extensive recent and upcoming developments, having invested significantly in its real estate and hospitality offerings. On-stand, attendees could explore the destination with a state-of-the-art VR tour, offering an insight into these new developments. A spin-to-win activation was also available on-stand, giving visitors the opportunity to win a range of destination and hotel prizes, ranging from Somabay Golf bucket hats to stay vouchers, and serving to drive footfall to the stand and generate interest in the destination. In order to use the spin-to-win, visitors to the stand had to fill out an online form with their contact details, providing an opportunity for data collection for Somabay’s database.
Ahead of the show, The Communication Group plc also secured inclusion for Somabay in TTG’s roundup of World Travel Market‘s best destination talking points, generating additional exposure and brand awareness for the destination.
World Travel Market was very successful for Somabay, with over 30 meetings taking place with key contacts over the three days.
