The Communication Group plc recently hosted a successful group FAM trip to Somabay on Egypt’s Red Sea to showcase the destination’s new Olympic-sized pool and wider swimming facilities, as part of the launch of the new OneFlow Aquatics Centre at the destination’s Soma Sports Arena.
During the trip, guests were the first to swim and experience the new Olympic-sized swimming pool at the Soma Sports Arena, which also incorporates a five-lane pool and a fully equipped indoor gym, highlighting the destination as a leader in the sports tourism market. The itinerary also highlighted Somabay’s broader lifestyle offering, with highlights including a beach club experience at Wyte Beach Club, rejuvenating Aqua Tonic treatments at The Cascades Spa & Thalasso, and a boat excursion on the Red Sea where attendees had the chance to snorkel in the crystal clear waters.
The trip was a great success, with attendees including Olympians Jacob Whittle and Molly Renshaw, who were joined by sports journalists, professional athletes, and coaching experts from global markets, all coming together to showcase the facilities and position Somabay as a great destination for swimming camps and sports tourism.
