London-based multi-use property developer, Rockwell, recently teamed up with footballing father-son duo, Jamie and Harry Redknapp, to deliver a free training session for children at the ‘Big Play Out’ festival in Battersea Park.
The Big Play Out is the headline event of the Battersea Summer Scheme, an annual series of events put on by the Battersea Crime Prevention Panel for free for less advantaged children in the Battersea and Wandsworth area, to help them get active and stay out of trouble.
This year, Rockwell supported the Big Play Out by funding a free football training session, delivered by legendary footballing father-son duo, Jamie and Harry Redknapp, in partnership with global footwear brand, Skechers.
The training session included a tactics masterclass and ‘build your best team’ session with Harry and Jamie in the Battersea Evolution centre, followed by a hands-on training session, with drills and a match. At the session, each of the children was also gifted a training kit by Skechers, as well as new football boots, as worn by Harry Kane at the 2024 Euros.
This charitable initiative was part of Rockwell’s local community work, reaching into the areas within which it has active developments and going ‘beyond the building’ to help less advantaged people gain opportunities they would otherwise not have access to.
The Communication Group plc supported Rockwell’s charitable initiative by connecting them with the Battersea Summer Scheme and coordinating logistics for the session.
