This November Rockwell joined the Katherine Low Settlement, along with the charity’s trustees and members of the local community, to celebrate the completion of vital improvement works to their community centre, including renovation of the bathrooms and necessary basement structural works, ensuring the community centre is fit-for-purpose.
KLS is an important charity which works to reduce poverty and isolation and bring the community together, including through supporting older people, children, young people and their families from refugee backgrounds and newly-arrived adults learning English. Over 500 people visit KLS’s building each week to access their important services, leading to a strain being put on the charity’s facilities, which were in much need of refurbishment.
The Communication Group plc assisted in all aspects of coordinating the inauguration ceremony, from conception to completion, securing the attendance of members of the local community and ensuring the event ran smoothly.
