On Thursday 31 May, French Lebanese artist and painter, Mouna Rebeiz, will open her second solo exhibition in the UK, ‘The trash-ic. Or trash in the face of beauty’ at the Saatchi Gallery. To coincide with her exhibition, Mouna has called upon a number of internationally renowned designers and artists to apply their individual creative energies and produce their own unique and precious ceramic piggy-bank designs for an exclusive auction in support of Innocence in Danger, a worldwide movement for the protection of children against abuse.
Those taking part include influential names from the worlds of art, fashion, and design; such as: Emilio Pucci, Elie Saab, Swarovski, Lulu Guinness, Royal Academy of Arts, Giles Deacon, Jo Malone, Roger Vivier, and Osman. Select piggy-banks will be auctioned by Sotheby’s live on the opening night of the exhibition and silent auction will open to the public from 17 May – 3 June.
