The Communication Group plc supported the recent completion of Greenbox Darlington, delivering over 400,000 sq.ft. of top-tier sustainable, Grade A logistics and industrial space in the North East.
Greenbox is a joint venture between Citivale, a specialist logistics developer and operator, and Partners Group, a leading global markets firm, aiming to deliver best-in-class infrastructure with outstanding ESG credentials.
The official completion ceremony took place on Wednesday 5th March and was celebrated by the wider project team, including Partners Group, Citivale, and Winvic Construction alongside agents and interested parties. Also present were Councillor Stephen Harker, Leader of Darlington Borough Council and Councillor Chris McEwan, Deputy Leader and Economy Portfolio Holder of Darlington Borough Council.
Greenbox Darlington comprises three prime industrial units, ranging from 84,950 sq. ft. to 215,360 sq. ft. The units were designed to achieve Net Zero Carbon in Construction and Operation alongside an EPC ‘A’ and BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating, setting a standard for how the commercial real estate sector can tackle the climate crisis and improve the sector’s environmental credentials.
Throughout construction, Greenbox placed an emphasis on environmental stewardship and energy efficiency, achieving this through the development of a green supply chain collaboration and accompanying on-site sustainability initiatives.
The Communication Group plc assisted in coordinating the ceremony and securing media coverage for the announcement, with pieces in Green Street News, North East Business Insider and Logistics Manager.
