This month, Kebony, the leading producer of dually modified™ wood, was featured as part of a new Homes & Property case study by leading UK national newspaper The Sunday Times.
Located in the English countryside, close to Dorset’s Jurassic Coast and Corfe Castle, The Purbeck Project by Gruff Architects and Lewel Construction has seen the stunning renovation of a mid-nineteenth century Victorian cottage, with local stone and 1,500m of sustainable Kebony Clear Cladding by Shou Sugi Ban selected to complete the façade of this new modern family home.
Developed in Norway, the patented Kebony technology transforms sustainable softwoods into durable and aesthetically beautiful timber products with the same properties as endangered tropical wood species, diverting the need for deforestation and helping reduce the world’s CO2 emissions.
The Communication Group plc developed and distributed a press release announcing The Purbeck Project and its use of Kebony wood to target UK and international media contacts. Following interest from The Sunday Times, The Communication Group plc co-ordinated subsequent media activities, including an interview and photoshoot with the homeowners, leading to print and online coverage of the case study in the publication.
