Geneva Tourism Hosts Group Press Trip To Promote Latest Summer Campaign

This May, The Communication Group plc recently organised a successful press trip to Geneva, recently named one of the best places to visit in 2024 by European Best Destination and the New York Times, to showcase its latest summer campaign, highlighting the lesser-known side of Geneva under the slogan ‘Unexpected Geneva’.

During the trip, attendees stayed at the exceptional Mandarin Oriental Geneva, and were invited to experience the very best of Geneva’s summer attractions through a carefully curated itinerary. Over three days, attendees experienced the city’s vineyards via tuk-tuk, dined in the dark at the world-renowned Dans le Noir, enjoyed gourmet cruises along the river, and sampled local cuisine at exceptional restaurants. A highlight of the trip was a hot air balloon ride over the city at sunset to showcase the city’s ‘Golden Ticket’ initiative, which allows visitors to Geneva to be in with the chance of winning unique transport experiences across a 3-month period, with the hot air balloon ride featuring a three-course dinner and wine in the sky and providing stunning views of Geneva on a clear spring evening. 

The Communication Group plc supported on all elements of the trip, from identifying media targets and assisting with the development of the itinerary to managing logistics and accompanying the media throughout their stay. Attending media included journalists from Epicurean Magazine, Glass Magazine, and Reach plc, all key target titles for Geneva.
