Unveiling ‘The Rib Room – Today’

Recently, Jumeirah Carlton Tower hosted the unveiling of Nick Botting’s painting ‘The Rib Room – Today’ which celebrated the restaurant’s status as a London institution for over 50 years.

As a nod to the swinging 60’s when The Rib Room was a regular meeting spot for society darlings, including those involved in the Profumo affair, Don Black OBE, award winning lyricist of ‘Stephen Ward The Musical’, attended the unveiling, along with Mandy Rice Davies (former model and showgirl best known for her role in the Profumo Affair) and the play’s writer Christopher Hampton CBE.

Current restaurant manager Michele Caggianese was featured in the painting, along with Executive Chef Ian Rudge and Jumeirah Carlton Tower General Manager Derek Picot, all of whom joined the unveiling to reflect on The Rib Room’s colourful past and look forward to an equally illustrious future.

The Communication Group plc hosted diarists from The Times, The Daily Telegraph, London Evening Standard, Daily Mail and Daily Express, with resulting coverage in all newspapers.
