Geneva has celebrated its annual, world-renowned fireworks at the great Geneva Festival. As Switzerland’s most popular tourist event, the festival welcomed a cast of thousands visitors, including local residents and tourists from all over the world. As well as exceptional food, wine and funfair rides for young and old alike, visitors enjoyed over 150 concerts featuring many leading international artists throughout the four day festival. The most memorable and spectacular element of the entire event, however, was the fireworks – arguably the largest fireworks display in the world.
Geneva remains rich in activities, steeped in history and home to beautiful scenery. With a bustling calendar of festivals and events including the prestigious International Motor Show, aerial spectacular of the Montgolfiades Hot Air Balloon Festival and ever-popular Montreux Jazz Festival, This cosmopolitan city is the ideal place for a city-break long weekend. The local vineyards, Michelin-starred restaurants, sumptuous spas and endless shopping ensure there is a plethora of things to do in Geneva.
We work with the city of Geneva to promote it as a destination of choice highlighting that – the dizzy peak of Mont Blanc in the Jura mountains can be seen from the historic heart of the city and it is just over an hour from the popular Swiss ski slopes in Chamonix, making it an ideal dual-centre holiday destination for people looking to hit the slopes this Winter.
