The Communication Group plc is delighted to announce that longstanding Client Kebony, a Norwegian company that produces a beautiful wood recommended by leading architects, celebrated the groundbreaking of its second European factory in the Flanders region of Belgium, bringing with it €20 million of investment for the Belgian economy and the creation of 25 local jobs.
Kebony has experienced a continued annual growth, with international sales rising by an average of 35% year on year for the last six years. Operating on a global scale, with distributors in Europe, Scandinavia, the Middle East, Asia and America, Kebony is now able to increase its capacity, accelerate growth in line with demand and open new market opportunities for sustainable wood. Kebony was joined by Philippe Muyters, Flemish Minister for Work, Economy, Innovation and Sports, to celebrate the groundbreaking of this factory.
Earlier this year, Kebony was named in the prestigious 2017 Global Cleantech 100, produced by CTG (Cleantech Group). The Global Cleantech 100 is a comprehensive list of private companies with the highest potential to make significant market impact within a 5-10 year timeframe. This is the sixth time Kebony has been recognised as a Global Cleantech 100; a list which represents the most innovative and promising ideas impacting the future of a wide-range of industries.
